The hills are alive with the sound of music, and as an insurance agent , you might spend some time traveling those hills — virtually or otherwise. Nothing will spice up a workday quite like a good set of tunes.
That’s why we’ve drafted up a list of songs you can use for your personal life insurance soundtrack. Whether it’s a song to remind you of the importance of having “Everything in its Right Place” or one that just gets you amped for a great year of sales, we have you covered!
We’re taking these 10 songs and creating a playlist that agents can use whenever they need some motivation!
Coming in at the top spot is “A Lot’s Gonna Change” by Weyes Blood. A slower song to start the list but one that will become an earworm in no time.
When helping your clients and their families, it is important to remember that a lot is going to change. Throughout life, your clients will face milestones that will make them reevaluate their financial and insurance needs.
Be sure to help them find the best-suited solution, “cos you got what it takes.”
Next, we have “Yours” by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. A decidedly more upbeat song, “Yours” will get you pumped to help find your clients a policy that is truly theirs.
With products supported by our parent company, Quility, you can help your clients find policies that are tailored to their needs.
Remind the families you help that “Your security. Tomorrow still yours.” Maybe add some extra words in there so as not to confuse them.
This next classic is sure to get you toe-tapping, whether you’re waiting on a porch or in a Zoom call waiting room. “Burning Down the House” by the Talking Heads is the perfect song to sweep your clients off their feet with unique coverage.
Be sure to let them know “you haven’t seen nothin’ yet,” before introducing them to all the benefits that come with working with a Symmetry agent.
Radiohead’s “Everything in its Right Place” is another jam that will keep you bopping along through your dials. The title and lyrics will also be a great reminder that for every insurance goal your clients have there is a solution you can provide.
Whether that’s a whole life policy with a cash value that can be used for retirement or a mortgage protection policy to help pay off their mortgage if they experience death, critical illness or disability — make sure they have everything in its right place.
Our next installation, “Secret Agent Man” by Johnny Rivers, while not actually detailing the life of a life insurance agent, will still be a fun one to add to your rotation.
We don’t suggest you keep your career as a life insurance agent a secret! But we do think you’ll get a kick out of blaring this song while pulling into your client’s driveway.
“Whole Life” by Perfume Genius is a ballad that builds up to some beautiful keys and strings. While a more melancholic addition to this list, the recurring phrase “Half of my life is gone,” is a great reminder to meet with clients who might think they’re too young for life insurance.
Make sure their financial goals are more than “just a dream” and help them find protection, no matter the amount of their life that is already gone.
“Everybody’s gotta live, and everybody’s gonna die,” there are few songs that capture the importance of life insurance coverage more than Love’s 1974 hit “Everybody’s Gotta Live.” While the lyrics might make it seem more downtrodden, this tune is a celebration of the time we get — time for good times, time for family and time for love.
It’s easy to focus on death when selling life insurance, but it’s more important to highlight the protection your clients will have for the ones they love. This song will help you celebrate that gift with the families you help every day.
While Bunny isn’t an actual rider, Caroline Polachek’s “Bunny is a Rider” is a great reminder to help your clients find add-ons that will help them get the most out of their insurance policy.
Whether you’re helping them find a return of premium rider that reimburses any payments made after outliving the policy or a charity rider that allows them to add their favorite non-profit as a secondary beneficiary, there are plenty of riders to choose from!
“This Year” by Beach Fossils, is a fitting addition to this list. It’s a bright track about making changes. This year is always the best year to help your clients find coverage, the older they get (and more vulnerable to the unexpected things that life will throw their way) the more expensive the policy will get.
Our last entry might seem a bit biased, but after listening we’re confident you’ll agree it belongs here. “Hold Hands with You” is a song by Quility’s own Chief Technology Officer, Jon Edwards.
“Hold Hands with You” is a beautiful account of the lengths we will go to for the ones we love. At Symmetry, we understand that our clients’ main priority is protecting the ones they love. It is our responsibility to find the policy that does that best while providing them with a unique purchasing experience.
That’s our list! We hope that there’s a song here that will inspire you personally or professionally. We’ve added these songs to a playlist on Quility’s Spotify account, which you can find here . We hope you’ll use it in between helping clients for those moments when you just need to pop on some headphones and drown out everything else.
