WNC Woman is an Asheville, North Carolina based magazine honoring the strength, wisdom and grace of women in the community. The magazine features women in the Western North Carolina region who are making a difference and promoting positive change through business, thought leadership and creative growth.
Meredith Ellison and Whitney Zeh were interviewed for the magazine, speaking on philanthropy, how the company began, and highlighting the Thrive program at Symmetry that infuses self-care, wellness and leadership development in the workplace.
On the topic of wellness during the workday, the article highlights the yoga and meditation practices hosted at the Symmetry office during the week. In the article, Meredith shared that "we strongly encourage our staff to find ways to be active and integrate self-care and wellness throughout their workday. We want our employees to leave the workplace healthy and happy and ready to offer their best selves to family and friends."
Meredith and Whitney also spoke about the philanthropy projects Symmetry leads throughout the year. “We provide days when our staff can go volunteer; we set up times and places and a variety of opportunities quarterly. We are modeling this at our corporate office, and through social media and marketing; our agents across the country see it and are participating,” Whitney says.
